The watchtower – recently transformed to a cultural heritage center – has become a new showcase for tribal tourism that is attracting tourists from all over the world.

The Grand Canyon National Park is known for its breathtaking scenery, dramatic canyon walls and untouched wilderness. But there is more to experience at the world-renowned destination than just incredible views. The Desert View Watchtower on the South rim of the Grand Canyon in Arizona is the newest must-see site at the national park. Although the watchtower has been standing since 1932, the history and culture connected to the landscape thru the 11 native tribes that have called the area home dates back centuries.
